The Rev SQ Produce Project 2026

We are seeking young saxophonists (high school age or younger) to perform alongside us in a concert planned for January 2027.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Places to learn music are everywhere.
But places to truly grow as a musician are rare.

Lessons and competitions always put young musicians in the position of being evaluated. But that alone cannot nurture everything. The experience of making music alongside professionals. The tension of facing an audience on stage. The moment you realize your music has truly reached someone. These are things that practice alone cannot provide.

REV continues this program to pass that experience on to the next generation of musicians.

We are active performing musicians. That is precisely why what we can offer goes beyond lessons — it is a concert. Through a selection process, we stand on stage together. That is our way of giving back to the next generation.

About the Program

・Open to: high school students and younger (middle school students welcome)
・Performance: joint concert in January 2027 (planned)
・New in Season 5: a Mentor System — certified mentors from The Rev Saxophone Quartet will guide participants through the foundational phase
・All applicants will receive personal feedback from REV members

Fees

・Application fee: ¥5,000 (non-refundable)

・Travel & accommodation (performance phase): subsidized by REV (up to ¥150,000)

Eligibility

・Aspiring to become a professional musician
・High school age or younger (middle school students welcome)
・Able to attend regular lessons and rehearsals (no location restrictions)
・Willing to appear on web and other media during auditions, lessons, and rehearsals
・Any nationality (must be able to communicate in Japanese)
